EMPOWR Fee's

Clients may be eligible for Medicare rebates with a valid referral from their General Practitioner (GP), Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician through a Better Access Mental Health Care Plan. These plans provide rebates of $96.65 for Psychologists or $141.85 for Clinical Psychologists per 50-minute treatment session (60 minutes including note-taking). Each calendar year, up to 10 sessions are eligible for rebates, with an additional 5 sessions available under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) or Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan, rebated at $60.35 per session.

EMPOWR can process Medicare rebates on-site at the time of payment. In special cases, Medicare rebates may also apply to assessment sessions if a Paediatrician or Psychiatrist provides a valid referral for complex neurodevelopmental assessments, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Some GP referrals for assessments may also qualify for rebates; check with your GP to confirm eligibility.

Clients are responsible for ensuring their Medicare rebate eligibility. Our admin team is here to assist with tracking your rebates and guiding you through the process. For full terms and conditions, please refer to Medicare’s MBS guidelines.

Our practice is currently undergoing registration to provide direct supports through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). In the meantime, we accept Self-Managed and Plan-Managed NDIS referrals but are unable to accept NDIA-Managed plans at this stage.

At EMPOWR, we offer a coordinated, multidisciplinary approach for NDIS participants, addressing the complex needs of clients with disabilities. We do not provide psychology services in isolation under the NDIS, instead prioritising holistic care. This includes collaboration with other professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Support Workers, Teachers, Paediatricians, Psychiatrists, and Support Coordinators, to ensure comprehensive support tailored to each client.

We are in the process of registering with HICAPS to enable on-site processing of eligible private health care rebates. As each health fund differs, please contact your provider to confirm your eligibility and coverage for rebate claims.

Allied health practitioners play a key role in the NSW workers compensation scheme. As SIRA-registered providers, EMPOWR offers specialised expertise to assess a worker’s capacity, identify barriers to recovery, and deliver evidence-based treatment focused on return-to-work outcomes.

With a GP referral, workers can access up to eight sessions of allied health treatment without prior insurer approval, provided the practitioner is SIRA-approved. Additional sessions require a request from the allied health provider.

We accept referrals for individuals funded through third-party agencies, such as DCJ, OOHC, or employer-funded programs. Referral and funding information must be provided before the first appointment to allow time for approval. Please email referral and quote requests to our EMPOWR team.

Veterans can be referred to allied health practitioners through a DVA-specific process. This requires a D904 referral arranged by your GP, detailing the treatment under the DVA allied health treatment cycle. Referrals are available for White and Gold Card holders, and all services are bulk billed with no gap fees.
