Marina is a Master of Clinical Psychology student completing a six-month clinical placement at Empowr Health Collective under the supervision of Michelle Kent. She brings a strong background in education and enjoys working with clients across the lifespan, with a particular focus on children, adolescents, and their families.
Marina has a keen interest in supporting people through life transitions, coping with the impacts of trauma, and building resilience, self-esteem, and self-compassion. She is also interested in cognitive, autism, and ADHD assessments. Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, integrative, and collaborative, with respect for each client’s unique context. Marina primarily works from a cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) framework and also enjoys incorporating schema therapy principles.
During her placement, Marina will be working with children and teens and assisting with our Cool Kids – ASD Adapted group programs from February. Outside the therapy room, she enjoys free-diving, spending time with her dog, gardening with her family, and working on puzzles.
